Cricket News sort by New Zealand Vs India, 1st Test at Auckland - Feb 6-10, 2014

New Zealand held on to a tight 40-run win in the First Test at Auckland. The victory was sealed only with the wicket of India Skipper MS Dhoni, who was otherwise threatening to win the match all on his own. India went down fighting though with a total of 367.

India pulled off a remarkable fightback on an eventful third day’s play at Auckland to find themselves with a slim chance of a win.

Bad light brought an early end to proceedings on Day 2 with India reeling at 130 for 4 in reply to New Zealand’s 503. But for the loss of a little over 20 overs, India could have been hurt by few more wickets by the close of the second day.

Apart from the morning session, nothing went right for Team India. New Zealand are sitting pretty by the close of Day 1 at 329 for 4 in 90 overs.
